Our Award-winning Website, Theage.com.au, Just Got A Fresh, New Look ?

The Age

Wednesday August 8, 2007

TODAY we launch a new look for theage.com.au, Victoria's No 1 news website.

We have reorganised the home page from the top down to give you more news, more videos, more features and an easier-to-use site.

The home page is cleaner with more white space and room around the articles and images.

We've centred the theage.

com.au logo and on either side we've placed the weather and our top opinion writers and bloggers.

VIDEO AND ENTERTAINMENT

Video downloads have been rapidly growing. To make them easier to find we have a news and entertainment video showcase on the top right.

The "What's On" guide, Life & Style and Entertainment areas have all had a facelift, moving to the right-hand side with more images and video.

NAVIGATION

Site navigation has been simplified. If you want to see everything we've got, click on "Show all sections" for an expanded guide. Or you can continue to search by keyword just to the right of that.

While we've made these changes to improve the look and feel of the site, much will still be familiar. We have kept key features of the previous design that has taken us to the leading position as one of the most popular news sites in Australia, with a huge global audience.

REPORTING

As well as the quality reporting and analysis from The Age's award-winning journalists, we will continue to provide the fastest, most in-depth breaking news in Australia, with extensive multimedia and reader forums. Your feedback is highly valued. Please contact us on www.theage.com.au/contacts/website/ and let us know what you think.
